You do not need an International Driver’s License/Permit, however, you MUST have a VALID PHYSICAL driver’s license on your person the day of the tour.

If it is expired or you don’t have the physical license with you don't worry, you are still able to come on the tour, but as a passenger.

We recommend close-toed shoes and no skirts or dresses for women. In the fall, winter and spring we recommend a jacket and gloves as it can get cold on the Vespa outside of the summer months.

We do not require prior Vespa experience to sign up for the tour. We give all guests a lesson in the parking lot where they can then try out the Vespa before getting on the road. If for any reason your guides decide that you are not safe enough to drive, we ask that you please kindly respect their decision. Our first and foremost concern is your safety and we don’t want to put anyone out on the road that isn’t safe enough to drive.

Once you arrive at our shop in Via dei Pandolfini, 31/red in the centre of Florence, transportation by van is included to and from the winery (ending up back at our shop).

Cycling is by far the best way to explore Florence. With its “ZTL” or Limited Traffic Zones, common in many Italian cities, driving through the heart of the city can be difficult. On a bike, however, you can effortlessly glide through Florence’s charming streets and uncover hidden gems that are off-limits to cars.

Driving in Florence’s historic center is not just difficult—it’s nearly impossible. Limited Traffic Zones restrict access, turning what could be a stressful experience into a missed opportunity. Cycling opens up the city in a way cars never can, giving you access to every corner of its beauty.

We highly recommend visiting the city’s iconic historical treasures, such as Santa CroceSanto Spirito, the Uffizi Gallery, the vibrant San Lorenzo Market, the Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria.

A personal favourite of ours is a leisurely ride along the magical banks of the Arno River, where Florence’s beauty truly comes alive.
